About another Dictatorship

I am reading "The Boy in the Striped Pajama's". The main character, Bruno is a 9 year old boy in the middle of the Holocaust. There is a big dictatorship. His father works for the Nazis. Bruno, his mother, his sister and house maids or chef's have no say. They can't leave the house after they have moved to there new house. they cannot think for them selves. They are always told what to do. I do not think Bruno likes this. He is very adventurous and likes to explore and now he can't do any of that. The worst part is that he pretty much locked in that house with his 12 year old sister, Gretel. Honestly I could not handle living with my brother or sister 24/7 in a small enclosed space. I think I would go crazy. Anyway, Bruno lives in a dictatorship. My connection is in this link.  http://www.ctvnews.ca/politics/trudeau-under-fire-for-expressing-admiration-for-china-s-basic-dictatorship-1.1535116. This shows that many people do not like dictatorships. I don't think dictatorships are all that good because the people have no choice over anything. There is no voting, and probably nothing else free that our government already gives us. In a dictatorship the government has all the power and can do what they want. I honestly think people should have a say in everything the government proposes to do in Canada. Plus it makes everything more fair. I think that being Bruno in "The Boy in the Striped Pajama's" would really suck. You don't get to do anything you want.

Remembrance day!!!!!!!!!

Remembrance day just passed by this weekend. I'm a cadet and so I had to eork for it. I had to do the over night vigil at the Preston cenotaph. All cadets that went had shifts. I had one shift.  It was from 4:00 to 5:00am. I had to get up at 3:00am just to get ready. Anyway before my shift I will tell you what happened before I had to do my shift. So I got to the church, where we stayed. Then I went to put my bags where the guys were sleeping. After doing that I hung my uniform in the basement area. Next I went back upstairs and started to make my bed. Sll of the other csdets slept on the cold tile floor but the did bring a sleeping bag. Where I borrowed my uncle's cot. For those who don't know what a cot is, it is a fold up bed. It is extremely comfortable. Anyway I think I got the best sleep out of every body. But I only got around 3 hours or less. After I was set up, my friends came, they set up their stuff. Then we plalyed Texas Holdem for about 1 hour. Then pizza and other junk foods came out. It was really good because we could have as much as we wanted until they ran out. After that long snack break I kept playing poker. Then we fooled around and told jokes. Everybody exchanged phones and called eachother's contacts. It was a lot of fun. 11pm was lights out but we still   acted dumb anyway. I fell asleep because of the time my shift was at. I did my shift and it was tiring. I went back in after the hour and laid down for the last hour of sleep. We had to wake up at 6:00am. We all woke up and started packing our stuff. Then we have breakfast. Then we parade down to the cenotaph. We do the 2 hour reception and then it's time to go home. Thats why I'm probably looking really tiered. Because I am. That's my weekend for only that day.

My Life with Fliying!

I think I will start with how I got into flying. My Grandad and my Grandpa Bob are both pilots. My Grandpa Bob flys a small ultra light. He flys as a hobbie. On the other hand, my Grandad flys a Citation 3 private jet. I can't remember the air line though. I am now an air cadet at 822 Tutor Squadron in Breslau, Ontario. I will be reciving my pilots licence in the next two years or so. I try to fly every summer with my Grandpa Bob. It's fun and it can make you have a real adrenaline rush. What I think of most of the time when I'm in a plane is "I'm going to die, I'm going to die." Although it is fun because you get to see everything from a different point of view. The view's that you see from up in the air are like the birds eye view for example. It's really cool to see the world from a different point of view. I think that's why I like flying so much. Also the thrill of the ride. It's even more fun when you get to take the controls. I'm surprised that I don't have motion sickness.
